Roanoke Baptist Church
Pastor Darrell Hieronymus is a native of Louisiana. He publicly accepted Christ at the age of fourteen. He is a humble servant of God whose ultimate desire is to do the will of God.
Brother Darrell is a retired educator after teaching a total of 26 years including his time in both Beauregard and Jefferson Davis Parishes. His education includes a Bachelor of Science degree and Master’s degree in education from McNeese State University. He took a year away from teaching to study for the ministry at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.
He has been ministering for over 23 years on the gospel field for Jesus Christ. In 1999, he began pastoring the mission church that would become Roanoke Baptist Church in 2010 and continues to serve there today. Brother Darrell has been married to his lovely wife Sherry for over 35 years; together they have three adult children and four grandchildren.
Brother Darrell's desire is to proclaim the Word of God. He is a man who loves God, God’s Word, God’s people, and those who may become God’s people. He enjoys family time, playing music, hunting, fishing, and the adventures God provides in His service. He enjoys preaching and teaching the Word of God with power, conviction, and simplicity at every opportunity that avails without compromise.
For almost 30 years, Pastor Darrell has been sharing the Romans Road to Salvation.
